Yantai CIMC Raffles Marine Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC Raffles Group") was established on May 24, 2022. It is jointly invested by CIMC Group and Yantai Guofeng Group. The two parties hold 83.3% and 16.7% of the shares respectively. .
CIMC Raffles Group focuses on the strategy of "big ocean, new offshore engineering", and its business covers offshore oil and gas, marine fishery, marine clean energy, special vessels, marine space utilization, asset operation management and other fields, and builds an industrial structure for comprehensive development of marine resources. It has nearly 4,000 employees, including about 1,000 R&D technicians.
The group consists of subsidiaries such as Yantai CIMC Raffles, Haiyang CIMC Raffles, Longkou CIMC Raffles, CIMC Ocean Engineering Research Institute, CIMC Blue, CIMC Jiguang, and Jihai Innovation; and through Shenzhen CIMC Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. has invested in the establishment of subsidiaries such as Jinghai Fishery, Jifeng New Energy, CIMC Power, and Shenzhen Smart Offshore Innovation Center; at the same time, it has two offshore engineering design companies in Europe, forming an interactive R&D layout between China and Europe .
The Group's predecessor can be traced back to the Yantai Shipyard established in 1977. In 1978, it built and delivered my country's first bottom-mounted drilling platform. Over the years, it has delivered hundreds of various types of marine equipment, including the world's latest generation ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform "Blue Whale 1", the world's advanced Petrobras FPSO, the first domestic marine ranch platform, the first domestic Deep-water intelligent cages, the world's largest salmon farming vessel, Asia's largest ro-ro transport ship, etc. Among them, the "Blue Whale" series of platforms have undertaken important tasks in the first and second rounds of combustible ice mining in my country, setting many world records.
